From 20 to 22 March 2026, Ghent became the beating heart of European dodgeball as we proudly hosted the Western European Championship. For three intense days, top teams from across the region battled it out on Belgian soil — showcasing speed, teamwork, and pure athleticism at the highest level.
For Dodgeball Belgium, this event marked an important milestone: not only as a sporting spectacle, but also as a statement of how far our community and organisation have come.
Dodgeball in the spotlight
The championship didn’t go unnoticed. Mainstream media picked up the story and helped bring dodgeball to a wider audience:
- 📰 Coverage in HLN and Het Nieuwsblad
- 📺 A report by AVS, including a short highlight video shared on their Instagram
This media attention played a key role in increasing the visibility of our sport and inspiring new players, referees, and volunteers across Belgium.
